Rosler offers orthopedic implant finishing technology with its new R 150 DL-2 rotary vibrator. When processing orthopedic implants, avoiding part-on-part contact is critically important. The R 150 DL-2 was created by Rosler to solve this problem by mounting the work pieces to a fixture inside of the work bowl. With this specialized process, the movement between media and work pieces is much more intensive compared to the work pieces moving loosely in the media. This allows for the complex geometries of the work pieces to be reached. The R 150 DL-2 can process a variety of orthopedic parts, including: hip femoral heads, acetabular cups, knee joints (femur & tibia), shoulder joints, and ankle joints. This compact vibratory machine is ideal for deburring, edge radiusing, surface smoothing and even high-gloss polishing. Surface roughness readings of Ra 4 – 6 µin can be easily achieved.
