Summit Medical Group Enters Omani Medical Device Market




Mosaic International, an Oman-based healthcare solutions company, launched its range of specialist orthopedic products in Muscat in partnership with Gloucestershire, United Kingdom-based Summit Medical Group Ltd. Summit provides single-use sterile medical devices.

The newly launched products include Hi-Vac-bone cement mixing systems, for use by orthopedic surgeons during joint replacement surgery; CellTrans, a blood transfusion system designed to allow patients an opportunity to have their own blood re-transfused back following hip or knee surgery; and the Orthomed range of Sports Medicine products, which are designed to treat soft tissue sports injuries.

Summit Medical Group comprises Summit Medical Ltd, Orthodynamics GmbH, Orthodynamics Pty Ltd., Orthomed SAS and Marlux Medical Ltd., which all design, manufacture, and distribute medical devices for more than 50 countries among them. The product technology primarily is centered on bone cement mixing, autologous blood transfusion, sports medicine, and revision hip arthroplasty.
