DJO Global Appoints New Business Unit Chief
DJO Global Inc. has named Sharon Wolfington as president of its Global Recovery Sciences business unit.
Wolfington, formerly known as Sharon Brown, has more than 20 years of medical device sales, marketing and management experience. She joins the Vista, Calif.-based company from Stryker Corp., where she most recently served as president of the Performance Solutions business. According to a news release announcing her appointment, Wolfington built and led the startup Performance Solutions business within Stryker to deliver systems and services that helped hospitals, patients, payors and surgeons meet their clinical, financial and operational performance goals.
Before assuming the leadership of Stryker's Performance Business, Wolfington was vice president and general manager ofitsGlobal Trauma and Extremities unit, helping to propel market share atthe Kalamazoo, Mich.-based firm. She began her tenure at Stryker in 2001 as sales director for its Biotech division.
Prior to Stryker, Wolfington held various jobs at Biomet/EBI Medical Systems. She completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, and has a B.A. in nutrition science from Miami University in Florida.

Founded in 1978, DJO Global develops and manufactures devices for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management.
