Company donating products and money to aid in fighting global pandemic.

Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc. is not expecting any supply chain disruption during the global COVID-19 pandemic, but it does anticipate an impact to its earnings this year. Details can be found in the following letter its president and CEO has written to providers, patients, and customers:

TO HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, PATIENTS, PARTNERS AND OUR COMMUNITY:

As the COVID-19 situation continues to rapidly evolve around the world, Zimmer Biomet is committed to doing everything we can to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our team members and their families, the communities in which we live and work, the healthcare professionals with whom we partner and the patients that we serve. As part of this commitment, we have implemented several proactive measures to protect team member workplace safety, maintain global supply of our products and provide aid to organizations delivering relief for those affected by the pandemic.

Protecting Our Employees
We have enacted new internal policies to proactively protect our team members and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, consistent with CDC and WHO guidelines.
  • Any Zimmer Biomet team member who is able to work from home will do so until further notice;
  • All non-critical business travel has been suspended; and
  • Internal meetings will be held virtually going forward.

We are dedicated to doing our part to protect our team members, as well as our communities, from exposure to COVID-19 and will continue to update these guidelines and policies as needed based on the fluidity of the situation.

Supporting the Needs of Our Patients and Communities
As a company focused on treating patients suffering from disorders of, or injuries to, bones, joints or supporting soft tissues, our number one priority is to ensure that healthcare professionals and their patients are supported and have uninterrupted access to the products and solutions they need.

  • We have not experienced, nor do we currently anticipate, any impact to supply as a result of COVID-19. Our global manufacturing facilities are able to operate at or near full capacity and we will continue to closely monitor manufacturing and supply chain resources around the world.
  • We are committed to delivering an uninterrupted supply of our products for the healthcare professionals and patients who need them.

Additionally, in support of our communities, we continue to provide donations of product and monetary aid to global and community-based organizations offering support and recovery efforts for the global pandemic. For the broader healthcare community, we are customizing thoughtful offerings and extensions of our current product lines to assist in streamlining service delivery, alleviating patient pain and, importantly, reducing the load on vital healthcare resources.

Minimizing Potential Business Impact
Given the highly fluid environment, we are not currently able to provide an estimate of how COVID-19 may impact our full year financial results. That said, we remain confident in the long-term underlying strength of the Zimmer Biomet portfolio and innovation pipeline. While we cannot predict how long this situation will last, we are actively monitoring and planning for how to best address the challenge now and as we move forward. We will continue to provide updates as appropriate.

We are proud of the talent, determination and dedication of the Zimmer Biomet team and how we have responded during this challenging time. Zimmer Biomet remains focused on our mission and our commitment to the patients, healthcare professionals, institutions and communities we serve.

Sincerely,

Bryan Hanson
