Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Sonoma Orthopedic Products Inc. has appointed Rick Epstein as the company’s new president and CEO, and also has named him to the board of directors. Epstein succeeds Glen Coleman, who served as CEO since October 2007.
Prior to joining Sonoma, Epstein was CEO at radiofrequency medical device company Ellman International Inc. He also has served as vice president and general manager at V. Mueller (owned by Cardinal Health), and has held senior executive positions at Cardinal Health, Intuitive Surgical Inc. and Baxter Healthcare. Epstein has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in Stanford, Calif., and a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Illinois.
