According to a recent news item from the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly in Fort Wayne, Ind.,Red Bank, N.J.-based orthopedics company, Nextremity Solutions, is relocating its headquarters to Warsaw, Ind.
Nextremity Solutions chose the community because of its concentration of orthopedic businesses and its talent pool, the newspaper reported.
The corporate staff will number 15 people at the onset and will be the center of management, marketing, financial and sales functions for the company. CEO Rod Mayer is no stranger to Indiana, having worked in a number of orthopedic companies there, most recently as the CEO of DePalma Orthopedics.
Nextremity specializes in the foot and ankle segment of the orthopedic market. The company currently markets its Nextra hammertoe correction system as well as its Precision Ready line of screws. According to the paper, the company contracts out its manufacturing, and its research and development operation will remain in New Jersey.
In July, Nextremity completed a private placement transaction for $10 million in funding.
