The acquisition will expand on Sil-Pro’s current value added manufacturing and full device manufacturing capabilities.
“Machining Solutions is a great fit for Sil-Pro and fulfills part of the strategic plan,” said Kevin Carver, president of Sil-Pro. “When our core medical business in cleanroom injection molding of silicone and thermoplastics is combined with the capabilities at Machining Solutions, it immediately enhances and extends Sil-Pro’s ability to better serve our customers. Enhanced capabilities like Swiss and 5 Axis machining of exotic metals and plastics coupled with automated precision machining cells, will offer more value to many current and future projects. We already feature on-site design and development and in-house tooling and automation departments; the addition of medical machining demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with complete manufacturing solutions for their medical device programs.”
Machining Solutions will begin doing business as Sil-Pro in January on Sil-Pro’s campus in Delano, Minn. Sil-Pro’s in-house machining department will offer custom machined parts for the medical industry, while continuing to serve existing aerospace and defense customers and grow future customer relationships within the aerospace and defense markets.
