Bodycad has named former American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) President Daniel Berry, M.D. as its Chief Science Advisor. Dr. Berry is chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, L.Z. Gund Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and a trustee at the Mayo Clinic.
"Dr. Berry has 25 years of experience in clinical practice, long involvement in clinical research, and expertise in orthopaedic implant design," said Jean Robichaud, founder and CEO of Bodycad. "Now, as a member of the Bodycad team, he will provide valuable insight and guidance in order for our products to yield improved clinical outcomes for patients."
Dr. Berry has received recognition and award for his clinical research from the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation, the Hip Society, and the Knee Society. He is the author or co-author of more than 190 peer-reviewed publications and 70 book chapters and has been the editor of several books on hip and knee arthroplasty.

In addition to his leadership role at AAOS, Dr. Berry served as president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and in leadership roles on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS), the Hip Society and the Mid America Orthopaedic Association. He serves as a Trustee of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
