Orchid Orthopedic Solutions has announced the creation of a focused Innovation and Product Quality organization to support and accelerate the company’s business strategy and results.
The Innovation and Product Quality organization will be led by Ted Bloomfield, who is promoted to vice president and member of Orchid’s executive team. Ted joined Orchid in early 2016 and focused on successful leadership and management of key projects. Most recently, he created, developed, and led the company’s Project Management Organization focused on new product introduction while also leading the company’s Orchid Supply+ and Maximizer offerings.
“Ted and team will make a tremendous difference in Orchid accelerating our business strategy toward becoming the premier global orthopedic contract manufacturer. Through Ted’s leadership, we aim to continue our strong performance in the area of product launches and product quality consistent with our vision of operational excellence. We will also continue to strengthen our differentiation through innovation in advanced manufacturing engineering. I am excited to have Ted join the executive team who work every day toward the gratifying purpose of helping people live longer, active lives,” said Jerry Jurkiewicz, CEO of Orchid.
Functional responsibilities within the newly created organization will include:
