Zimmer Biomet is launching the Stratum Foot Plating System, a plate and screws construct indicated for the fixation of fractures, osteotomies, non-unions, malunions, and fusions of small bones and small bone segments, particularly in osteopenic bone.
The Stratum Foot Plating System will be showcased at the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Annual Meeting taking place September 12-15, 2019 in Chicago at the company’s booth #423.
Expanding on the features of the Zimmer Biomet A.L.P.S. Total Foot System, the Stratum Foot Plating System is the next generation of anatomic locking plates designed to optimize ease of use and reduce operation time. The system contains 11 distinctive plate options (49 plates) along with 6 screw families (2.7, 3.5 & 4.0 mm), and features tine technology for hand-free application, pre-assembled compression ramps on the plates, and a variety of sterile locking, non-locking, and multi-directional locking screws, allowing for multiple screw combinations.
“The versatility and functionality of the Stratum Foot Plating System help optimize efficiencies in foot and ankle procedures,” said Mervin Smith, Zimmer Biomet’s general manager and vice president of Lower Extremities. “Building on Zimmer Biomet’s leading portfolio of foot and ankle technologies, the next generation plating system offers a customizable, streamlined solution for surgeons.”
