Enovis has launched its Enofix with Constrictor technology, the latest addition to its suite of foot and ankle products. Enofix is a repair system that, according to the company, has demonstrated superior fixation under cyclic loading.
“Adding a syndesmotic repair device to our portfolio demonstrates Enovis’ commitment to our customers by expanding solutions across the foot and ankle,” Gary Justak, president and GM of Enovis Foot & Ankle told the press. “What is exciting about Enofix with Constrictor Technology is its compatibility with the Arsenal Ankle Plating System, our comprehensive ankle plating portfolio.”
Enofix with Constrictor offers foot and ankle surgeons a syndesmotic repair system with a knotless, adjustable, and low-profile button. The suture is a custom Dunamis Medical fiber composed of UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene).
“Enofix with Constrictor Technology affords excellent flexible stabilization of the syndesmosis,” said Jason Nowak, DPM of Redding, Calif. “It is easy to use, deploys smoothly, and gives fantastic syndesmotic fixation. It fits very well within the new Enovis Arsenal Ankle distal fibula plates as well.”
This product launch is the latest event in Enovis’ effort to bolster its foot and ankle business. Earlier this month, the company began a deal to acquire Novastep, maker of the Pecaplasty MIS (minimally invasive) bunion repair system and a portfolio of CE-marked forefoot and midfoot implants.
