Voom Medical Devices Inc. (Voom) has officially launched its new one-on-one surgeon training program for the Bunionplasty 360 Bunion Repair procedure.
Voom hand selects surgeons who apply and interview to become minimally invasive Bunionplasty procedure trained, and provides the applicants with a comprehensive education and training program. The program’s hallmark is its one-on-one training on the techniques and skills needed to perform the procedure, delivered by MIBS bunion repair pioneers and foot and ankle experts, according to the company.
“Hands-on, one-on-one, surgeon-to-surgeon training is now the gold standard for developing confidence with MIBS techniques,” Voom Director of Surgeon Training Dr. Eric Baskin, D.P.M., said. “Mass events and distributor-led trainings are recipes for failure, even for the most talented surgeons. We’re changing the education paradigm from the moment they reach out.”
In addition to one-on-one cadaver training in three national locations, the program includes foundational didactic learning sessions, weekly continuing educational webinars, and ongoing community support through the Voom proprietary app. The approach allows Voom to train surgeons at any career stage or MIBS experience level.
“We’re proud to be a minimally invasive company that was founded by surgeons, for surgeons,” Voom Founder/CEO Dr. Neal Blitz, D.P.M., stated. “There’s no replacement for the human element in MIS teaching, and we believe it’s what both doctors and patients deserve.”
