Accelus has welcomed a new member to its C-Suite, appointing Chris McKee as vice president of Regulatory and Quality. With more than 18 years of experience in the medical device industry, McKee's expertise will strengthen the company's commitment to global market expansion, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, executives said.
"Chris's deep understanding of regulatory affairs and unwavering commitment to quality align perfectly with Accelus's mission to set new standards in spine surgery through our Adaptive Geometry technologies,” Accelus President/CEO Kevin McGann stated. "His leadership will be crucial as we innovate and expand our market presence."
In his new role, McKee will oversee all aspects of regulatory and compliance functions at Accelus. He will guide the company's research and development efforts to align with regulatory requirements, streamline development processes, and ensure ongoing compliance to prevent market disruptions. Additionally, McKee's expertise will be instrumental in managing risks, maintaining business continuity and driving the company’s quality management initiatives.
"I am excited to join Accelus and contribute to a culture that prioritizes safety, efficacy, and compliance," McKee said. "Accelus's dedication to innovation and improving patient outcomes aligns perfectly with my vision of enhancing healthcare through regulatory excellence. I look forward to working with the team to continue advancing our pioneering technologies and expanding our impact in the spinal surgery field."
McKee brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Medtronic Spine and Biologics and ZimVie Dental, where he managed global product registrations, quality management system (QMS) compliance, and company audits. Most recently, he was responsible for transitioning ZimVie Dental’s product portfolios to EU MDR certification and compliance.
Accelus develops expandable spinal implant solutions. The company's advanced Adaptive Geometry technologies are specifically designed for transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF), endoscopic-assisted, percutaneous and lateral spine surgeries.
