Salt Lake City, Utah-based Amedica Corporation has named Jeff White to its board of directors.
White has more than 35 years of experience in the medtech industry. He has been instrumental in the development and growth of various companies in the surgical device and biomaterial industry. White is currently principal at Medtech Advisory Group LLC, a firm that advises early and mid-stage medical technology firms. Prior to founding the company, White served as global director of business development for Synthes, a multi-billion dollar global orthopedic firm acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2012. Previously, he co-founded two medical device companies including Applied Spine Technologies Inc. where he led efforts to develop innovative spinal devices for patients suffering from spinal injuries or degeneration. He has also held various positions with US Surgical Corporation and Richard Allan Medical Industries, Inc.
