The Spine Journal and the North American Spine Society (NASS) announced two winners of the 2018 “Outstanding Paper Awards” at the organization’s 33rd Annual Meeting this week in Los Angeles, Calif. The awards recognize excellence in unpublished research in spine care.
Winning manuscripts receive a $10,000 prize and will be published in an early 2019 issue of The Spine Journal. Winning authors will presented their work Sept. 27 and took questions following the awards presentations.
2018 Outstanding Paper in Surgical Science: “Alterations in 90-Day Morbidity, Mortality and Readmission Rates Following Spine Surgery in Medicare Accountable Care Organizations (2009-2014).” Authors—Andrew Schoenfeld, M.D., Daniel J.
