Tecomet, a contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants, instruments, and sterilization trays, has appointed Andreas Weller as its new president and CEO, effective January 3.
Weller succeeds Bill Dow, who has served as the company’s interim CEO since June 2022.
“The Search Committee conducted a thorough exploration, reviewing numerous profiles and interviewing many qualified candidates. Andreas is the best of a select group. He has extensive experience successfully running manufacturing companies around the world. We are very pleased to welcome Andreas as the new leader of the Tecomet team,” Dow told the press.
Weller’s experience includes seven years with the Boston Consulting Group and 20 years of increasing responsibility in the contract manufacturing industry. He joins Tecomet after being president and CEO of Aludyne, a light-weighting solutions and components supplier to the mobility industry.
Weller said, “Tecomet has a long history as a steadfast partner to the medical device industry, including the top medical device and orthopedic companies. I look forward to joining this talented management team and helping the company continue to build on its culture of excellence. Tecomet stands out in the field for its relentless focus on precision, rigorous standard of quality, and commitment to collaboration with its global customers.”
