Pixee Medical, a company focused on augmented reality (AR) navigation tech for orthopedic surgery, has raised $15 million in capital.
The transaction was led by investors Relyens Innovation Santé, UI Investissement, Innovacom, Angelor and Bpifrance. Pixee said the proceeds will be used to accelerate development in the U.S. and launch its next generation of products.
In Q1 2024, the company plans to open a U.S. subsidiary. Pixee also aims to rapidly deploy a new range of AR navigation platforms, open an office in Singapore, and recruit new talents.
Pixee was founded in 2018 and has quickly grown by producing disruptive solutions.
Knee+ is marketed worldwide via CE mark and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance, with over 5,000 patient benefitting from the solution according to the company. It’s suited for the requirements of customized implant positioning, and meets the needs of growing ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs).
The company will be showcasing its latest advances at this year AAOS World Arthroplasty Congress.
