Tom Buckland has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer of OssDsign AB. In his new role, Buckland will be responsible for Operations and Manufacturing, Research and Development, and Quality and Regulatory affairs.
Prior to his appointment, Buckland served as Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, and Regulatory Affairs. This promotion helps change the company’s direction into a pure-play orthobiologics company exclusively focusing on the US market.
“Since the Acquisition of Sirakoss in 2020, Tom Buckland has been an instrumental member of the team. Appointing him as our new CTO is an important step in OssDsign’s transformation into a pureplay orthobiologics company.” Said OssDsign CEO Morten Henneveld. “His scientific background combined with his vast operational experience from leading positions in spine and orthobiologics companies will be pivotal for the company's journey forward.”
Buckland joined OssDsign through the acquisition of Sirakoss, where he was the CEO. Before Sirakoss, he held leadership positions at Nuvasive, Apatech, and Baxter. Buckland also acted at an advisor to start- and scale-up companies.
