EOS Imaging Expands in Asia

The orthopedic imaging company also appoints a regional sales manager based in Singapore.

EOS Imaging, an orthopedic 2-D/3-D imaging technology provider, has expanded in Asia with multiple new regional distribution agreements and the recruitment of a regional sales manager who will be based in a new Singapore office.

“This is an important growth milestone for the company, as EOS now has reach into a significant portion of the imaging market in Asia,” said Marie Meynadier, CEO of EOS imaging. “To date, we have completed distribution agreements, training and first hospital visits with partners covering eight Asian countries totaling 26 percent of the worldwide market for medical imaging. We will be devoting increasing attention and resources to our efforts in Asia as we look to capitalize on the rising demand for our technology in this area.”

Asia is a growing market in medical imaging, representing an estimated 41 percent of the worldwide market with a strong demand for advanced imaging modalities fueled by infrastructure investments by regional governments. EOS recently established new distribution agreements in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. These are in addition to its existing agreements in Hong Kong and Singapore, where the first EOS imaging system in Asia was installed in September 2012.

EOS Imaging is based in Paris, France, with U.S. headquarters in Cambridge, Mass. The company makes the EOS system, which is a full body, low dose 3-D orthopedic imaging system.
