BioCut Systems Introduces ‘Cancellous C5’ Bone Cutting Press

BioCut Systems has developed a new cleanroom compatible bio-format press, the Cancellous C5.  The five-ton pneumatic press is built specifically for cutting and cubing cancellous bone and will complement the company’s SterilCut 15T and 40T dermis cutting presses.  The Cancellous C5 die can cube bone 7 millimeters thick, executives said. Smaller and larger die sizes are being developed. 
 
“The C5 was built specifically to reduce injury, improve yield and speed clean up” said Mark Jeske, president of BioCut Systems. “The hazards of cutting small pieces on a band saw is eliminated and the cost savings in insurance premiums should cover the initial investment.”
 
BioCut Systems also has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification. “By setting ourselves the task of maintaining an external certification we are confirming our commitment to continual improvement as well as increasing our credibility and our customers’ confidence in our products,” said Jeske.
