Precision Spine Marks Sixth Year of Double-Digit Growth

Precision Spine Inc. announced that sales results for the year ending Dec. 31, 2015, gave the company its sixth consecutive year of double-digit growth. The company also announced the launch of its Reform Modular Pedicle Screw System and Reform HA Coated Pedicle Screw System.

“Six consecutive years of double-digit growth is an achievement few companies can point to and stands as a testament to the advanced, high quality products coming out of our Made-in-the-USA manufacturing facility,” said Chris DeNicola, executive vice president of Operations at Precision Spine.

Precision Spine also announced the launch of two new products.

The Reform Modular Pedicle Screw System represents the first modular system on the market to feature a cobalt chrome tulip with a proximal tapered triple lead thread, which is designed to help increase the bone/screw interface to enhance pull-out strength and allow for efficient screw delivery. The system’s modularity is intended to help increase the surgeon’s visibility in order to permit more thorough decortication of the surrounding fusion bed. It is a top-loading, multiple component, posterior spinal fixation system which consists of pedicle screws, rods, cross-connectors, locking cap screws, hooks, dominoes and lateral offsets. All components are available in a variety of sizes to help more closely match each patient’s anatomy. The system is intended to provide immobilization and stabilization of spinal segments of skeletally mature patients as an adjunct to fusion in the treatment of the many acute and chronic instabilities or deformities of the thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine.

The patent-pending Reform HA Coated Pedicle Screw System features a cobalt chrome tulip with a proximal tapered triple lead thread which has a hydroxyapatite (HA) coating designed to enhance the amount of fixation possible between the pedicle screw and the surrounding bone in osteoporotic patients. Reform HA Coated Pedicle Screws are supplied sterile, are made from medical grade titanium or titanium alloy and feature hydroxyapatite (HA) coating. All other components of the system are provided non-sterile and are made from medical grade stainless steel, cobalt chromium alloys, titanium or titanium alloy.
