Impact Cryotherapy Adds Spa Executive to Board

Atlanta, Ga.-based Impact Cryotherapy Inc. has named Ella Stimpson, spa director of the Spa at Sea Island in Georgia, has joined its national advisory board. Impact Cryotherapy makes whole body cryotherapy systems, which are systems that use low temperatures to treat benign and malignant muscular tissue lesions, most often caused by sports injuries.

Stimpson oversees all aspects of the Spa at Sea Islan’s 65,000 square-foot facility, which has received the Forbes Travel Guide five-star award for six consecutive years and was recently named the fourth best Spa in the Continental U.S. in Travel + Leisure Readers’ Choice Awards. Prior to Sea Island, she was executive director of Spa Operations for Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, the first casino spa to be awarded a Forbes five-star rating. Stimpson has also served as chairman of the International Spa Association from 2011 to 2013, where she continues to serve on the board of directors. Stimpson began her career at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, which earned a five-star rating under her leadership.

Other members of Impact Cryotherapy’s advisory board include sports medicine, orthopedic and chiropractic experts James R. Andrews, M.D., who serves as chairman; Troy C. Van Biezen, D.C., A.R.T.; and J. Melvin Deese, Jr., M.D.
