K2M Appoints New Board Member

Addition to the board comes from the insurance industry.

Leesburg, Va.-based spinal implant firm K2M Group Holdings Inc. appointed Michael A. Turpin to its board of directors and audit committee.

Turpin is the executive vice president, employee benefits for USI Insurance Services, a U.S.-based employee benefits and risk management brokerage and consulting company. Prior to joining USI Insurance Services in 2008, he was the Northeast regional CEO and U.S. president of key accounts at United Healthcare, as well as a worldwide partner/managing director with Marsh & McLennan. Turpin holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.
