Osso VR Launches a Total Ankle Replacement VR Training Module

Osso VR, a validated Virtual Reality (VR) surgical training platform, has launched a VR training module for Wright Medical’s Infinity Total Ankle Replacement System. The module is being demonstrated at the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) annual meeting from Sept. 12-15, 2019, at Wright Medical’s AOFAS exhibit booth #133.
   
This first of its kind training scenario allows surgeons to experience in a hands-on way the value of patient-specific ankle arthroplasty including the ability to practice their fluoroscopic skills. Surgeons can train and assess themselves on the intuitive workflow of the procedure at their own pace, allowing them to rapidly become proficient in this high-demand, emerging technique.
 
Osso VR’s scientifically validated training platform is designed for surgeons, sales teams, and other trainees to address new techniques and increase confidence through learning for new medical devices.
