This year’s top (orthopedic) companies report was tops this past week on the ODT website.

The report far surpassed other contenders for pageviews. The closest competitor was Stryker’s news about its nationwide, direct-to-patient marketing campaign—“Scan. Plan. Mako Can”—designed to raise patient awareness of its Mako SmartRobotics for joint replacement surgery. But the campaign news was still outnumbered by top companies in a nearly four-to-one margin.

Safe Orthopaedics drove considerable traffic with the publication of a biomechanical study of its Sycamore device, as did EpiBone’s announcement about its new advisor, a team physician for the Chicago Bulls, co-team physician for the Chicago White Sox, and physician for the Joffrey Ballet.

ReWalk also garnered cybervisitors’ attention with its $19 million deal for AlterG, a provider of “Anti-Gravity”  treadmill systems for physical and neurological rehabilitation.
