Ben L. Bailey Appointed CFO at Ottobock

Bailey was senior vice president and CFO, Radiation Oncology Solutions, at Varian Medical Systems.

Ottobock has named Ben L. Bailey as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of its North America operation. Bailey, a financial expert with more than 20 years of experience in the global healthcare and technology industries, succeeds Kathy Hernandez, who has been with the company since 2006.
 
“Ben’s vast international experience will be invaluable to Ottobock across North America and with our global parent,” said Dr. Wilson Constantine, CEO and Regional President of North American operations. “His proven track-record of managerial experience across finance, accounting and auditing, as well as strategic and tactical business planning, will be an asset to Ottobock as we continue to expand our presence in the region and help people regain their quality of life.” 
 
Bailey works directly with Hernandez, who is staying with the company through the end of the year, to learn Ottobock’s global processes and systems. Prior to joining Ottobock, Bailey was senior vice president and CFO, Radiation Oncology Solutions, at Varian Medical Systems, where he led teams in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Bailey also served as vice president of Finance – Worldwide Sales FP&A for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was responsible for strategic initiatives for a $17 billion business, as well as executive director of Finance – Japan.. 
 
Previously, Bailey was director of Finance, Enterprise Solutions Group, at Dell, and played significant finance roles in a number of companies, including Baker Hughes and KPMG Peat Marwick.

Bailey earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
