Integra LifeSciences today reported fourth quarter and full-year (ended December 31) financial results.

For the fourth quarter of 2021, Integra achieved revenue of $405.5 billion, an increase of 4.3 percent compared to the same period in 2020. This included $16.9 million from the company’s acquisition of ACell, which was completed last January.

Integra’s Codman Specialty Surgical business accrued $270.7 million in Q4 2021, rising 6.4 percent compared to 2020. Tissue Technologies reported $134.9 million, remaining flat at 0.4 percent.

For the full year 2021 Integra’s sales were $1.54 billion, an impressive 12.4 percent increase over the prior year. This includes $65.4 million from the ACell acquisition. The company reported GAAP net income of $169.1 million for the full year.

“Our 2021 financial performance and business achievements are a testament to our broad and differentiated product portfolio, and the resilience and commitment of our team members around the world, despite the ongoing effects of the global pandemic,” said Jan De Witte, who became Integra’s president and CEO in late 2021. “I look forward to working with my Integra colleagues to continue to execute our growth priorities and accelerate our product pipeline and global opportunities in 2022 and the years to come.”

In addition to acquiring ACell, last year Integra completed the sale of its Extremity Orthopedics business to Smith+Nephew in early January 2021.
