Compamed 2021 Shifts Location to Halls 13 & 14 at the Fairgrounds in Düsseldorf

Compamed 2021, the international trade fair for the supplier market for Medical manufacturing, will be held in Halls 13 and 14 (not Halls 8a and 8b as originally planned) at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
 
By moving the event to new halls, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to the request of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to ensure that they can continue to use space capacities in the northern area of the exhibition center for tasks related to the state’s vaccination logistics and infrastructure. Compamed will be held concurrently with Medica, a leading Medical trade fair, from November 15 – 18, 2021.
 
“All experts agree that the fight against the pandemic will continue to require huge national joint effort for some time to come. What is needed is patience, perseverance and the flexibility to respond quickly and appropriately to challenges. The smooth progress of the vaccination campaign is of central importance. That is why we, as Messe Düsseldorf, see it as our duty to contribute to this task of national importance and are counting on the understanding of our customers. For Compamed exhibitors, we have created a setup for Halls 13 and 14 that is almost identical to the original stand planning for Halls 8a and 8b,” explains Erhard Wienkamp, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf.
 
Christian Grosser, director of Health & Medical Technologies for Messe Düsseldorf, and his trade fair team, will contact all Compamed exhibitors and clarify any outstanding questions on stand placement and planning for their participation in the trade fair in an open dialogue.

The course of the pandemic up until now has meant that we have needed to adapt our concepts constantly, and we know that the Compamed exhibitors are companies that always overcome professional challenges. Last but not least, they demonstrate time and time again that they are indispensable supplier partners for Medical technology providers. Many of them may even be pleasantly surprised by the reallocation to Halls 13 and 14, which puts them in close proximity to the Medica themed segment for electrotherapy and Medical technology, along with the captivating stage programs from many specialist forums relating to Medical technology and even IT,” states Grosser.
 
Conversely, many Medica exhibitors and visitors at who have not specifically visited Compamed in the past are likely to discover their interest in the topics of Compamed this year due to the change in hall layout – and also in the Compamed High-Tech Forum of the IVAM International Microtechnology Business Network and the Compamed Suppliers Forum of the trade magazine Devicemed. which are integrated into the trade fair.
 
One of the long-standing and once again largest exhibitors at Compamed 2021 is Multivac, which specializes in packaging solutions. Christian Traumann, managing director of Multivac, supports the move to Halls 13 and 14: “I have known Messe Düsseldorf for many years, as an exhibitor at interpack – of which I was President for some time – and as an exhibitor at Compamed. I expressly welcome Messe Düsseldorf’s initiative to make a significant contribution to the worldwide fight against the pandemic together with the responsible authorities by providing space capacities, infrastructure and logistical services. The fact that we as an exhibiting industry are also doing our part and supporting this by changing halls meets with my full approval.”
 
Currently, around 2,500 exhibitors have registered for Medica 2021 and about 400 exhibitors have registered for Compamed 2021. All exhibitors admitted so far can be searched online with their exhibitor profiles on the “Companies & Products” database online and can be filtered using a variety of criteria. The online ticket shop is already open. In line with the hybrid event concept of both trade fairs, tickets can be purchased either as a hybrid ticket for a one-day on-site visit and parallel use of the extensive digital services (45 euros) or as a solely digital ticket (without on-site visit/ 30 euros).
 
The program elements, which are not only offered on-site, but are also accessible online with a relevant ticket, include all the specialist forums integrated into the theme segments of Compamed and Medica.
