New products and partnerships prompted prime pageview screenings this past week on ODT’s website.

Taking the top spot was the Orthopaedic Implant Company’s launch of the OIC Flex-Fix, a value-based system to treat syndesmotic ankle injuries. The system can be used either in tandem with a bone plate or as a standalone solution, a flexibility that allows a wider application range to be addressed. Flex-Fix allows micromotion during healing and was designed to mimic natural joint mechanics. The system also minimizes risk of hardware removal, which is a common problem related to traditional rigid screw fixation.

Runner-up to OIC’s new product unveiling was word of Stryker’s newly-cleared Q Spine Guidance 5 software, featuring Copilot. The technology integrates smart-powered instruments into Stryker’s portfolio and the software with Copilot offers feedback modalities to support bone resection, pedicle preparation, and screw delivery.

Both Smith+Nephew and Bone Health Technologies drove site traffic with news of their respective collaborations. The former enticed cybervisitors to the website by announcing an exclusive digital and advanced analytics alliance with Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo)—the world’s largest, fully integrated, musculoskeletal value-based care and outcomes management company. This collaboration will focus on enhancing solutions for ASC customers, physicians, and their patients through HOPCo’s digital health and analytics platforms, myrecovery and Vitals.

Bone Health Technologies, meanwhile, gained pageview traction with its purchase of Wellen, a Brooklyn-based healthtech firm reinventing exercise-based osteoporosis care as a personalized and science-backed solution.

Another item of intrigue to ODT loyalists was an online exclusive about field inventory management.
