Paradigm BioDevices has launched VisiCORE, a new bone graft harvesting system for foot and ankle fusion surgeries.

VisiCORE features a clear collection tube with the company’s proprietary Graft Retention Technology (GRT). The system allows bone graft harvests to be seen in real-time.

The company said VisiCORE also minimizes bone graft loss during collection, reduces the number of passes needed to obtain adequate bone graft, and decreases donor site defect.

Paradigm is a privately-held, Delaware-based company founded in 1997 to advance minimally invasive bone graft harvesting. The company pioneered percutaneous access to iliac crest harvesting for spine surgery and calls itself “the leader in MIS bone graft harvesting.”

“It’s awesome to be able to see the work I’m doing,” said OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Specialist Carroll Jones, MD. “Until now, I’ve been totally blinded by the tools available to me. VisiCORE is a game-changer. Seeing is believing, and that’s definitely a big improvement for my cases.”

VisiCORE was developed in collaboration with Dr. Jones, and fellow foot & ankle orthopedist, Hodges Davis, MD. “We’re excited to combine our extensive experience in minimally-invasive bone grafting with leading foot & ankle innovators to address challenges in foot and ankle fusion surgeries,” added Mike O’Neill, Paradigm BioDevices’ founder and president. “Our collaboration has afforded us an opportunity to improve extremity bone grafting capabilities for surgeons and their patients.”
