ZimVie Inc. topped ODT website traffic this past week by formally cutting ties with its Spine division.

An H.I.G. Capital (H.I.G.) affiliate completed the $375 million acquisition of the company’s Spine division and has renamed the new independent entity HIGHRIDGE Medical. Headquartered in Westminster, Colo., HIGHRIDGE develops, manufactures, and delivers products and solutions designed to treat a wide range of spine pathologies. The company has a portfolio of bone healing therapies and will be led by a team of seasoned executives from the medical device industry.

ZimVie’s former parent company—Zimmer Biomet—also drove traffic this first week in April by announcing partnerships with three U.S. pickleball organizations: the Association of Pickleball Players (APP), Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour), and USA Pickleball, the National Governing Body for pickleball. The collaborations make Zimmer Biomet the first and only medical device partner for pickleball.

Other website pageview producers came from Paragon 28, Miach Orthopaedics, and Arthrex. Paragon 28 launched its new Grappler R3INFORCE extraosseous repair system, which is designed to restore stability to anterior and posterior ligaments surrounding the ankle during fibular fracture repairs and high ankle sprains. Miach Orthopaedics, meanwhile, generated cybervisitor interest by closing a $20 million Series B extension financing round, and Arthrex followed suit by marking the tenth anniversary of its InternalBrace ligament augmentation system, first developed to support lateral ankle instability repair during the healing phase after surgery. The procedure restores strength and stability to a chronically sprained ankle.
