Theragen, a medical technology company and maker of the ActaStim Bone Growth Stimulator System, has launched the company’s new ActaStim Patient Insights Portal. The portal provides spine surgeons and members of the healthcare team access to remotely monitor their patients’ recovery progress, helping guide them to a successful fusion.

“With the new addition of the ActaStim Patient Insights Portal to ActaStim, spine surgeons and their healthcare team will now have the most modern and comprehensive bone growth stimulation system available in the U.S.,” said Chris Mills, Chief Marketing Officer at Theragen. “The portal provides an additional service and tool for physicians and their healthcare team to remotely follow the progression of their patients’ recovery journey every day, while helping them stay on an ideal path to recovery following their spinal fusion procedure.”

The patient portal allows doctors and the care team to see clinically relevant trends that help them guide their patients’ recovery, including true wear time and pain levels. Using built-in device sensors, the ActaStim algorithm monitors changes in daily activity and detects shifts in a patient’s recovery progress.

Healthcare professionals can log in anytime to remotely view their patients’ therapy delivery, evolving pain trends, and activity levels. The portal shows patients’ day-to-day journeys and provides accurate patient recovery metrics to facilitate meaningful discussions with their patients. The patient portal dashboard automatically highlights patients who may or may not be on the ideal path to recovery.

The company will demonstrate the ActaStim Patient Insights Portal at Booth #2515 during the 39th North American Spine Society (NASS) Annual Meeting, taking place September 25-28, 2024, in Chicago, IL.
