Pre-meshed acellular dermal allograft delivers fast, flexible coverage for complex soft tissue defects.

MTF Biologics has launched to market FlexHD Meshed, an extension of its FlexHD portfolio. Developed to meet the complex needs of reconstructive surgery, the pre-meshed configuration is used for soft tissue defects by treating irregular wound geometries and accelerating coverage for efficient graft incorporation.
“FlexHD has long been a trusted resource for plastic surgeons across a wide spectrum of reconstructive needs, and we’re pleased to extend that performance into a clinically distinct space. FlexHD Meshed was developed alongside the surgeons who face these cases daily—where wound geometry is unforgiving, time in the operating room is precious, and the patient has already been through enough. When the stakes are high, the tools shouldn’t add to the burden. That’s what FlexHD has always stood for, and it’s why MTF Biologics exists,” said Brian Leuthner, vice president and general manager of MTF Biologics’ Soft Tissue, Aesthetics, and Reconstruction franchise.
FlexHD acellular dermis matrices (ADMs) are cut from a deeper dermis layer and aseptically processed to ensure superior handling, clinical efficacy, and high sterility assurance. FlexHD Meshed delivers these attributes and the FlexHD performance in a ready-to-use configuration. The allograft provides a structural scaffold that supports cellular repopulation and tissue integration, facilitating the reconstructive pathway for surgeons treating deep tissue injuries and complex wounds, according to the company.
By eliminating the need for intraoperative preparation, the pre-meshed allograft significantly reduces time in the operating room. It was also developed to address the challenges of deep tissue injuries and complex soft tissue defects, providing immediate, deployable coverage that conforms readily to irregular anatomy and expands surface area coverage while promoting optimal fluid drainage.
MTF Biologics is a global nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives by honoring donated gifts, serving patients, and advancing science. In partnership with organ and tissue recovery organizations, MTF Biologics provides services, resources, and expertise to donors and their families; tissue and organ transplant patients; and clinicians and scientists who advance patient care.
The International Institute for the Advancement of Medicine (IIAM), a Division of MTF Biologics, honors donors of non-transplantable organs by providing their gifts to the medical research community to combat and cure diseases. Statline, also a Division of MTF Biologics, provides specialized screening, coordination, and communications services to organ transplant centers, organ, tissue, and eye procurement organizations, and the hospitals and patients they serve. Its sister organization, Deutsches Institut für Zell- und Gewebeersatz – DIZG (The German Institute for Cell and Tissue Transplantation), expands its reach worldwide.
