Medical Tracking Solutions Partners with Terso Solutions

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Medical Tracking Solutions Inc. (MTS), developer of iTraycer, has partnered with Terso Solutions Inc., a provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) storage and transport units. The partnership will enable both MTS and Terso to enhance capabilities and provide increasingly innovative services to medical device companies.

The iTraycer product is an inventory management system that provides real-time tracking of medical devices and biologics—visible by part, lot and serial numbers—from manufacturer to patient. iTraycer ensures compliance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by addressing the traceability requirements of the agency’s Unique Device Identification (UDI) regulations.

Going forward, iTraycer will connect real-time with Terso’s RFID-enabled cabinets and mobile cases.  This will eliminate the need for sales representatives to manage usage in surgery, and replenishment will be triggered as soon as an item is removed from the cabinet or case.  The results, according to MTS officials, will be improved efficiency, increased inventory visibility, cost reductions, and the end of many manual transactions.
