Alphatec to Host Two NASS Educational Sessions

Company will also display its new spinal fixation system.

Alphatec Holdings Inc. will have a heavy presence at this year’s North American Spine Society (NASS) Annual Meeting, to be held in San Francisco, Calif. from Nov. 12-15. The company will showcase its new spinal fixation system, Arsenal, and will also host several different events over the four-day conference.

Alphatec will host an educational symposium entitled “The Timing of Surgery for Acute Spinal Cord Injury—Bench to Bedside Translational Perspectives.” The symposium will be led by Brian Kwon, M.D., Ph.D., a surgeon-scientist with advanced training in spine surgery and neuroscience. He is currently a professor in the department of orthopedics, University of British Columbia, and holds the Canada Research Chair in spinal cord injury. The session will be held at 5:30 pm on Nov. 12.

The company will also facilitate a less invasive solutions course with spine surgeons from across the country. Course attendees will interactively rotate through our three cadaveric learning stations featuring Alphatec’s:Illico MIS, the Alphatec Solus Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion system, and the Epicage Lumbar Interbody System.

“We are looking forward to collaborating with the surgeons, researchers and key thought leaders attending this year’s 29th annual NASS conference and highlighting the unique value and benefits of our broad, global spinal fusion product portfolio,” said Jim Corbett, president and CEO of Alphatec Spine. “This year, we are especially excited about the unique opportunity to demonstrate Arsenal, our new spinal fixation system with its innovative implants and thoughtfully-designed instrumentation to the large audience of spine care professionals attending NASS.”

Attendees can view Alphatec’s product portfolio at booth #829 at the Moscone Center, where the conference will be held.
