Laserage Acquires Full Interest In Venta Medical

Laserage Technology Corp., a contract manufacturer for precision laser processing, has acquired Venta Medical, an ISO 13485-certified turnkey medical contract manufacturer located in Silicon Valley, Calif. Waukegan, Ill.-based Laserage had acquired a majority interest in Venta a year ago.

According to officials from both firms, the acquisition is a strategic move to strengthen the organizations’ contract manufacturing capabilities and for further geographic penetration in the medical device market.

Thirteen-year-old Venta Medical LLC provides single-source manufacturing solutions, offering customers early-stage through volume productions and cleanroom assembly.

Karl Im, co-founder and CEO of Venta was equally pleased with the union.

Laserage is privately held and was founded in 1979. Its product capabilities include medical implants and components, medical instruments, electronic substrates, and aerospace flight-critical assemblies and secondary operations. The company also produces laser machine plastics, composite materials, ceramics and cable assemblies.
