Voom Medical Devices is revealing its new single-use Revcon screw system at this week’s American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) meeting.

Commercial launch is expected in May 2025, including the debut of the MIBS (minimally invasive bunion surgery) CoPilot shift and targeting guide. The MIBS CoPilot was engineered for optimal anatomical positioning and wire placement to reduce complexity and extrusion compared to existing technologies.

“The MIBS CoPilot represents a significant leap forward in precision and simplicity for minimally invasive bunion surgery,” said Dr. Neal Blitz, DPM, founder and CEO of Voom. “By empowering surgeons with intuitive control and accurate targeting, this tool enhances surgical efficiency and patient outcomes. Surgeons who experience the MIBS CoPilot™ will quickly recognize its transformative value and won’t want to perform another bunion procedure without it.”

Voom disrupted the bunion market in May 2023 by introducing the Bunionplasty 360 repair procedure, which touted Revcon anchor, the industry’s first, only single-screw solution. The Revcon screw system and MIBS CoPilot will hit the market on the procedure’s second anniversary.

“This latest innovation builds upon our already superior MIBS offering, driving greater procedural efficiency and adds some exciting new tools enabling surgeons to consistently achieve reproducible outcomes for their patients,” said Voom chief commercialization officer Dustin Campbell. “We’re incredibly excited to offer these enhancements to both existing and future surgeons adopting the Bunionplasty 360 Bunion Repair. We extend our sincere gratitude to our partner on this project, ECA Medical, for their invaluable collaboration and expertise in developing world-class, single-use sterile solutions.”

Last week, ECA Medical announced it had shipped the first sterile, surgery-ready Revcon screw system instrument kits to Voom Medical Devices.
