Bioventus Launches EXOGEN Ultrasound Bone Healing System in Saudi Arabia

Bioventus, a developer of orthobiologic solutions, has launched its EXOGEN Ultrasound Bone Healing System in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. EXOGEN uses safe, effective low-intensity pulsed ultrasound to help stimulate the body’s natural healing process.¹ It also has an 86 percent heal rate for fractures not healing on their own² and provides 38 percent faster healing of fresh fractures.^3,4 In addition, 89 percent of patients with high-energy fractures reported healing when treated with EXOGEN.⁵

EXOGEN Ultrasound Bone Healing System is indicated for the non-invasive treatment of osseous defects (excluding vertebra and skull) that includes:

• Accelerating the time to heal of fresh fractures
• Treatment of stress fractures
• Accelerating repair following osteotomy
• Accelerating repair in bone transport procedures
• Accelerating repair in distraction osteogenesis procedures
• Treatment of joint fusion
 
† A non-union is considered to be established when the fracture site shows no visibly progressive signs of healing.
