New Executive Appointed at Alphatec Spine

Alphatec Spine Inc. has a new addition to its management team.

Michael J. Sarrasin has joined the Carlsbad, Calif.-based spinal device firm as vice president, clinical, quality and regulatory. Sarrasin, according to company officials, will provide overall strategic direction and leadership to Alphatec Spine’s global clinical, quality assurance and regulatory affairs groups.

Sarrasin has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device and life sciences industries, managing clinical, quality assurance and regulatory affairs for several companies. He most recently worked as vice president, regulatory affairs and quality assurance, for I-Flow Corporation, a Lake Forest, Calif.-based medical device infusion pump manufacturer. During his tenure there, Sarrasin created and implemented I’Flow’s regulatory and quality assurance strategies and programs.

Before he joined I-Flow, Sarrasin held vice-president-level positions at several medical device and life sciences firms, including Celerus Diagnostics Inc.; DAKOUSA Inc.; and Lysonix Inc., all ofCarpenteria,Calif.

At Alphatec Spine, Sarrasin will oversee Alphatec Spine’s global clinical, quality assurance and regulatory affaris strategies.
