Warsaw, Ind.-based Nextremity Solutions Inc. has launched its Re+Line bunion correction system in the United States, which earned 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration late last year.

“We are very pleased by the overwhelmingly favorable surgeon feedback on the versatility and stable fixation characteristics of Re+Line,” said President and CEO Rod K. Mayer. “This is important to us given the multiple techniques utilized by forefoot surgeons in bunion correction surgery today. Consequently, we anticipate that Re+Line’s unique, low-profile, tension-band plate design will to continue to expand in its applications as we gain more market experience.

“The combination of Nextra and Re+Line provides us a highly differentiated product presence in the two largest and fastest-growing forefoot surgery segments,” said William von Brendel, executive vice president of global marketing and international sales. “Additionally, the high rates of combined hammertoe and bunion surgery will provide important synergy to our growing best-in-class product portfolio.”

Nextra is the company’s hammertoe correction system.

Nextremity makes forefoot surgical intervention devices.
