It’s been quite a week for new endeavors.

New starts from Stryker Corp., Exactech, Enovis, and others drove ODT website traffic over the past seven days.

Stryker was the top pageview player with the launchof its Monterey AL interbody system, a stand-alone interbody fusion device for anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF). Monterey AL is composed of both solid and porous structures in one implant and leverages Stryker’s Tritanium in-growth technology, which mimics cancellous bone and promotes bone regeneration and fusion, according to the company. Monterey AL’s Tritanium is a 3D-printed and highly porous titanium material designed for bone in-growth biological fixation using Stryker’s proprietary AMagine additive implant manufacturing. 

Enovis Corporation followed suit with the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas. The new, 40,000-square-foot ISO 9001-certified center complements an existing 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and will employ an additional 100 team members to support increased demand for the company’s reconstructive hip, knee and shoulder implants.

A new distribution/manufacturing deal between Safe Orthopaedics and Wenzel Spine, and Exactech’s new finance chief also attracted cybervisitors, as did the FDA clearance of Multi Radiance Medical’s (MRM) FibroLux laser for fibromyalgia pain treatment. According to the company, it’s the first laser therapy manufacturer to receive this type of FDA clearance. The non-pharmacological, non-invasive, and side effect-free FibroLux (patent pending) delivers optimal doses of light energy using a combo of curated wavelengths administered at the correct dose (time and power) and ideal dosage (frequency of application) for consistent, reproducible outcomes.
