Many of ODT’s magazine feature articles were popular this month, talking about technological and clinical impacts on the sports medicine market. Also, OTD’s 2024 Year in Review, which talked about the rise and dominance of AI-enabled solutions and robotics in orthopedics this year was popular. 

The Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation named Pittsburgh surgeon, MaCalus V. Hogan, as the new president serving the philanthropic arm of AOFAS. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger was tapped by Zimmer Biomet to serve as the first Chief Movement Officer. In this role, he will help motivate, engage, and support people to increase their mobility.

Geisinger partnered with Medacta to offer the first lifetime guarantee for reverse shoulder replacement surgery. Geisinger and Medacta will stand behind the full cost of care throughout the patient’s lifetime.

Treace Medical also launched the Nanoplasty 3D Minimally Invasive Bunion Correction system and procedure. This is the company’s first entry into the metatarsal osteotomy segment.
