Medical device components manufacturer Simtec Silicone Parts LLC, formerly headquartered in Madison, Wis., has completed its move to a new corporate manufacturing facility in Miramar, Fla.
Miramar was chosen, said company executives, to maximize benefits to customers. Miramar also was attractive due to its proximity to three international airports, a seaport, the available workforce, tax incentives and, of course, the climate of the Sunshine State.

The expansion allowed Simtec to add production units to manufacture liquid silicone rubber and LSR (liquid silicone rubber) 2-shot (multi-component injection molding) components. The company also has added new equipment to its quality assurance laboratory as well as a mold construction and maintenance shop.

Simtec’s new facility is 80,000 square feet, more than three times the amount of space it had in Madison. More than half of the work force of 50 has relocated to Florida.

Simtec, formed in 2002, is a custom manufacturer of LSR parts and LSR 2-Shot components, from concept to full production, for medical device and other industries.
