Zimmer Biomet Names New Senior VP of Investor Relations

Before joining Zimmer Biomet, DeMartino was chief strategy officer at obstruction sleep apnea solutions company Nyxoah.

Zimmer Biomet has appointed David DeMartino as its new senior vice president of investor relations. DeMartino will take office on September 9, 2024.
 
Before joining Zimmer Biomet, DeMartino was chief strategy officer at Nyxoah, a company that develops and sells obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) solutions. He was also a portfolio manager at DNB Asset Management and has served in senior roles at Velan Capital, Citadel, and Pura Vida Investments. These firms covered the medical device, biotech, and healthcare technology markets.
 
DeMartino spent several years in sell-side equity research, as well. He first covered healthcare facilities at Deutsche Bank and medical devices at Credit Suisse. His career began at the Deutsche Bank Healthcare investment banking group.

Last month, Zimmer Biomet began a deal to acquire OrthoGrid, a privately-held company that specializes in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven surgical guidance systems for total hip replacement.
