OrthoPediatrics Marks 1,000th Case Using FIREFLY Pedicle Screw Guides

OrthoPediatrics Corp. and Mighty Oak Medical have reached a major milestone in their partnership.

OrthoPediatrics announced that surgeons recently performed the 1,000th case using Mighty Oak’s FIREFLY Pedicle Screw Navigation Guides.

The 3D printed patient-specific guides reduce the need for intraoperative radiation and make accurate pedicle screw placement more efficient. This technology is a unique and cost-effective alternative to complex and expensive navigation systems. OrthoPediatrics has been the exclusive distributor of the FIREFLY technology in children’s hospitals throughout the United States since August 2017.
