Medical technology company focusing on surgical robots and reconstructive joint procedures, Monogram Orthopedics announced the first delivery of its mBôs surgical robot to one of the largest global robotics distributors.
The company links 3D printing and robots with advanced pre-operative imaging to create patient-optimized implants. The mBôs autonomously executes optimized paths for high precision implant insertion in synthetic bone.
With the mBôs robot, Monogram aims to help drive the next wave of robotic adaption in orthopedics by combining ease of use, safety, broad clinical functionality, cost, and novel implant design.
Monogram Orthopedics recently started trading on the NASDAQ and plans to create robotic surgical equipment and related software, tissue ablation tools, orthopedic implants, and navigation consumables.
CEO Ben Sexson said, “delivering our first robot and realizing our first commercial revenues validates our technology and represents a pivotal milestone for our strategic roadmap. Our system is performing at an extremely high level. We now look forward to seeing how our robot competes and scales in the real world. We hope to see the mBôs robot contribute to advancing the standard of care for orthopedic patients worldwide.”
