Four months after launching its debut product, the ankle plating system Ankle Flowercube, Flower Orthopedics Corp. has raised $2.2 million in a private stock sale, according to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The two year old Horsham, Pa.-based maker of surgical implants seeks to raise a total of $4.5 million, according to the filing.
The company’s Floercube’s family of products consist of kits containing all the implants and instruments needed for bone-fixation procedures. All instruments in the kit are for single use and are disposable.
Ankle Flowercube consists of 16 anatomic fibular and tibial plates and the accompanying screws and instruments for use in open and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
