Los Angeles, Calif.-based Neural Analytics Inc. a medical device company focused on developing devices and services to measure, diagnose and track brain health and concussions, has appointed Ed Zander, former CEO of Motorola and president of Sun Microsystems, as a corporate strategy advisor.
“Neural Analytics is honored to welcome Mr. Zander as our newest advisor at this exciting time for our company,” said Leo Petrossian Ph.D., co-founder and CEO of Neural Analytics. “Mr. Zander’s extensive work in corporate development led to the introduction and growth of several cutting-edge technologies and products throughout the wireless and computer industry. As part of the Neural Analytics team, his experience will be key as we prepare to launch our medical device and software products as well as continuing to focus our research on potential diagnostic tools for cerebral and vascular disorders.”
Zander is working closely with Neural Analytics as the company develops one of its first medical devices, which will allow medical professionals to accurately diagnose mild to severe traumatic brain injury, including concussions, by combining leading edge data science with established medical hardware.
“As an investor and advisor for early-stage technology companies, it is not often that I have the opportunity to collaborate with a great new company that is working diligently to help society by addressing the need for better concussion diagnosis,” said Zander. “Neural Analytics has some of the leading experts in the area of brain health and medical device technology. Their team has the potential to address concussions while also focusing on other brain and memory conditions.”
