The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) today announced the launch of the AdvaMed Purchasing Group (APG), a new benefit offering its members a collection of products and services with the goal of leveraging collective purchasing power to support member companies’ growth and success.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this new member benefit,” said AdvaMed President and CEO Scott Whitaker. “Through APG, AdvaMed members will have access to the very best goods and services from nationally recognized suppliers at the very best cost, using a trusted and proven vetting system and the collective purchasing resources of our membership.”
APG currently is offering members a breadth of solutions through pre-negotiated contracts with leading suppliers of commonly used business solutions in the areas of laboratory services; facilities management and office supplies; HR and finance; and data/communications.
“APG will help support the innovation ecosystem by allowing smaller members like my company to divert resources and savings from procurement to those needed to bring innovations to market,” said AdvaMed Board Member Nadim Yared, president and CEO of CVRx. “As early adopters of one contract, we have already seen that we will realize a significant cost savings on a number of consumable items we purchase regularly.”
The AdvaMed program is being launched in partnership with Biocom Purchasing Group, which has been offering member-based supplier savings for the past 20 years. Offerings through APG are available only for AdvaMed member companies, and there are no additional costs or minimums required to participate.
APG’s current supplier suites and partners include:
