U.S.-based CaP Biomaterials, LLC is now an ISO 13485:2016 certified company and is constructing an additional manufacturing hall of over 11,000 square feet.
This hall is focused on large volume production and blending activities and has a modular approach capable of quickly adding new processes as needed. CaP will offer customers the ability to outsource their manufacturing, including availability of private manufacturing suites and dedicated equipment, if preferred.
Onno Visser, site manager, said, “CaP is going through a growth spurt in many ways: customer and product diversification, ISO13485 certification and significant facility expansion. Such growth is never easy, so I’m especially proud of the team for getting this done during the Covid pandemic. We are now better equipped than ever to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements, with a robust QMS, future-proof manufacturing set-up and most importantly a growing team of passionate, dedicated calcium phosphates experts.”
A Marquette university graduate, Proxmire brings over a decade of experience working with bone grafts, cement, and injectable products in the medical device field. He is skilled in leading cross-functional teams to bring manufacturing projects to market and has a strong background in biomedical engineering, biomechanics, & biomaterials. At CaP, he will expand the capacity to work on customer focused research and take customer requests from concept to completion.
“I’ve known Jon for a long time and he is a pleasure to work with as well as a highly knowledgeable and well-connected professional when it comes to bone void fillers, calcium phosphates and project management,” commented Larry Shimp, founder/CTO.
